Lives and works in Paris, France.
The work of Guillaume Paris deals with complex issues inherent in today's societies, however modern or postmodern they might be: fetishism, reification and the instrumentalisation of religious and magical thinking. The work investigates our systems of belief (ideologies) and the structuring processes originating from them. His entire practice can be seen a critical and discursive investigation on the ideal of purity - considered as a dangerous abstraction very much at work in a variety of discourses : from religion to politics and advertising.
