Franck Vigroux and Antoine Schmitt tour with Chronostatis performance in Asia-Pacific.

Audio and visual performance

Chronostatis will be touring in New Zeland and Australia end of Octobre and beginning of November. It will make a stop at University of Adelaide on October 30th at 7:00pm, on November 2nd in Melbourne at Bunjil Place Plaza – 8:30pm, on November 6th in Auckland at Audiofundation  Sub-Basement of the Parisian Tie Factory, 4 Poynton Terrace AK Central at 8:00pm. In Auckland on November 7th in Wellington at the Pyramid club 272 Taranaki Street 6001 at 8:00pm, and finally on November 8th in Auckland at Live Digital Stage, Aotea Square at 8:30pm.

The chronostasis state is a cerebral illusion involving the neurons dealing with the immediate prediction of the future and to the listening of music, during which time seems to stop. But time is elastic and a stretched elastic always returns to its initial length. The audiovisual performance Chronostasis takes this logic to its limits by dilating to the extreme a catastrophic moment, through the stretching and inversions of time over the whole duration of the performance. The present moment freezes and diffracts endlessly, past and future cease to exist.
