Videospread on CASZUIDAS, Amsterdam !

Videospread is happy to present the programme « Urban ID » for the launching of our twelve months partnership with the CASZUIDAS screen – Moving Images in Public Space – in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Launched in October 2007, CASZUIDAS is the first big outdoor screen, worldwide, to show artwork form established and emerging artists from around the world, from 6 am to midnight, everyday !
This ground-breaking initiative has been conceived as a stage to present high quality visual art to the general public in Zuidplein, the Zuidas district in Amsterdam.

The programme « Urban ID » will be showing on a regular basis for one year, starting May 2008.

«Urban Identity» explores urban space, the potential it has to influence our vision of the world, the way we imagine our cities and tomorrow’s urban landscapes. It is an exploration of video as a way to modify our experience of scale, time duration and attention to our immediate surroundings.

The artworks of Christophe Berdaguer & Marie Péjus, Pia Lindman, Kristina Solomoukha and Sylvie Ungauer are both a transposition of reality and a virtual experience.
